Code 1 - warns the owner of the car that the engine oil has already exhausted its resource and needs to be replaced. In fact, this is a very useful reminder, because some people completely forget when the oil was last changed.

Code 2 - The system did not find the key fob, a reboot is required. To fix the problem, you need to press the clutch pedal and restart the engine.

Code 3 - Indicates that there is too little antifreeze in the cooling system. This means that you open the hood and add coolant to the correct level, and at the same time check where the leak occurred.

Code 4 - The air conditioning system installed on your car is off.

Code 5 - Your steering column is locked.

Code 7 - You need to turn the steering wheel of the car, then turn off the ignition and turn it on again.

Code 8 - Requires a system restart, you need to turn the ignition off and on again. Code 9 - Turn the steering wheel of the car and try again to start the power unit.

Clearing diagnostic codes

Note: To avoid damage to the engine electronic control system (ECM) controller, when
connecting and disconnecting the ECM (for example, wires battery,connector
ECM, ECM fuse, jumpers, etc.) the key must be in the OFF position.
When the ECM sets a DTC, the indicator lamp
fault is turned on only for types A, B and E, but diagnostic trouble codes are stored in memory
ECM for all types of codes. If the problem is intermittent, the MIL will
will go out 10 seconds after the fault disappears. DTC stored in memory
the ECM before it is cleared by the scan tool. Turning off the power for 10 seconds clears some
stored diagnostic trouble codes.

When the DTC is set by the ECM, the warning lamp will only illuminate for Type A, B, and E codes, but the code is stored in the ECM memory for all types of DTCs. If the problem is not persistent, the lamp will turn off after 10 seconds if there is no fault. The DTC is stored in the ECM memory until it is cleared by a scan tool. Turning off the power for 10 seconds clears some stored DTCs.
DTCs should be cleared after repair is completed. Some diagnostic tables provide for clearing codes before using the tables. This allows the ECM to set DTCs by running the table, which helps to find the cause of the problem more quickly.
