Installing candles

To replace it, you just need to press on the two latches on the sides of the case and pull it towards you and the filter will come out along with the pencil case.

The pollen filter is located at the bottom of the rear of the center console. You can get to it from the passenger side. The filter housing cover is held in place by two clips. To remove the cover, you just need to press these latches.

To drain the antifreeze when replacing, a drain plug is provided on the cylinder block. But you can get to it only while under the car. It is located behind the starter, so it will have to be removed from the car. And only after that you can get to the plug to drain the coolant.

On the radiator, no plugs are provided, and in order to drain the antifreeze from it, we unscrew the clamp of the lower branch pipe and pull off the pipe. Before filling with new coolant, we put the pipe and the plug in place.

Change drive belts

We turn to the most difficult type of work - replacing the drive belts with the Lada X-Rey, as well as their tension rollers.

The general technology is as follows:

Nuances of a 1.8-liter unit

On an engine with a volume of 1.8 liters, the operation to replace the timing belt is somewhat more complicated. Below are just some of the nuances of the work:

  • on the pulleys of the timing shafts alignment marks absent. For fixing the distributor. shafts, special grooves are used, made in the ends on the left (from the side of the checkpoint);

And this is only part of the features of the work on replacing the timing belt on the 1.8-liter X-Ray engine. Change the pads

The regulations of all Lada X-Ray MOTs indicate that the brake pads are also subject to replacement, but only if necessary.

It is not difficult to change them on this car. To replace consumables on the front disc brakes, you just need to remove the spring, unscrew the two bolts securing the caliper and remove it.
