There is no light on the right headlight sensor. The Daewoo Lanos headlight range control bulb has burned out. We are repairing. The lamp is ok, what next?

Head lighting passenger car Before starting a trip, the Chevrolet Lanos must be in good condition, since the driver is obliged to turn it on not only in the dark, but also during the day, to indicate the dimensions of his car. Most often, on a Chevrolet Lanos, malfunctions occur in the low beam electrical circuit.

If the light does not come on in only one low beam headlight, then troubleshooting usually begins by checking the condition of a halogen lamp that has two tungsten filaments. Possible malfunction The low beam filament, under which there is a small reflector that directs the beam of light onto the upper part of the headlight reflector, may burn out. If this thread burns out, you will have to purchase halogen lamp H4U (60/55 watts), but when installing the lamp, remember not to touch its bulb, as after turning on the headlight it will fail due to overheating.

When, upon checking, it turns out that the low beam filament has not burned out, then you will have to open the cover of the mounting block located under the hood of the car next to battery and check the condition of the fuse protecting this electrical circuit. If the low beam in the left headlight does not light, then check the ten-amp fuse Ef11, and if the low beam in the right headlight does not light, then you need to check the fuse Ef12 (10A). Location of fuses in mounting block The pictogram diagram located on the cover will tell you. If it turns out that the lamps and fuses are in working order, then you will have to ring the wires going from the fuse to the lamp socket to check for breaks or missing contacts in the plug connectors.

It is also possible to have no low beam in both headlights at once. The probability of lamps burning out at the same time is not so high, so troubleshooting should begin with the mounting block. First, we check whether fuse Ef19 (10A) is intact, since it is through it that voltage is supplied from terminal 30 of the ignition switch to terminal 30 of the low beam relay. And after closing the contacts of this relay, from its terminal 87, voltage is supplied to fuses Ef11 and Ef12, through the low and high beam steering switch under the steering wheel.

This relay may not work for two reasons: either its terminal 85 is not supplied with voltage from the light switch, which must be set to the second position, or the moving contact is broken, which is why contacts 30 and 87 do not close. In the first case, you will have to check the condition of fuse F2, located in the mounting block in the car interior on the left side in the area of the passenger’s feet and the light switch. In the second case, the low beam relay will have to be replaced.

Question: is the low beam on or off on a Chevrolet Lanos?

One evening I noticed that the left low beam lamp on my Chevrolet Lanos was not on. I went to the store, bought a new one and changed it. The lamp came on. Literally a couple of days later, the lamp did not light up again, I thought that it had burned out and there was some kind of problem in the operation of the headlight. Maybe moisture is getting in or something else. In general, I was depressed.

I left the store and accidentally turned on the low beam. There is a new lamp in your hands, and the old one is burning in the headlight. What is it, why does the low beam on a Chevrolet Lanos light up or not?

Chevrolet Lanos often has problems with low beam.

I'm just sick of cars. I try to study in detail every car I have owned. I enjoy driving at night on city streets. I try to do my own repairs on my cars!

Where to start checking?

When there is no light in one headlight, the check always starts with the lamp.

It is possible that this is the reason. When the filament burns out in the lamp, you need to buy a new H4U lamp. When installing a new lamp, it is not recommended to touch the bulb with your hands, as it will quickly fail.

The lamp is ok, what next?

Deciphering the fuse box.

If the lamp is in good condition, then you need to look at the fuses.

They are located in the mounting block in the engine compartment of the car next to the battery. When there is no light in the right headlight, you should check the fuse Ef12 when there is no light in the left headlight, the fuse is checked Ef11. You can find out the location of the fuses using the diagram on the block cover.

Wiring check

When it turns out that the fuses are intact, you need to check the wires that supply power to the headlights. They may be damaged or there may be no contact in the connectors.

No low beam in both headlights

If both headlights do not light, then we immediately go under the hood to the fuse box.

If there is no low beam in two headlights at once, then you should start looking for reasons by checking the fuses, since the likelihood that both lamps burned out at the same time is low.

  1. First you should check the fuse Ef19. It supplies power from the ignition terminal to the low beam terminal.
  2. Then the current flows to the fuses Ef11 And Ef12 .

Greetings, friends. We continue the section on self-repair Daewoo car Lanos. This time I have problems with electronics. The headlight range control lamp has stopped working. Now I will demonstrate it to you. You see, all the devices glow, but are not backlit. So, we will disassemble and look for the cause of the malfunction.

Open the hatch on the side panel of the dashboard. To do this you will need to open the doors. We feel the regulator from the inside and carefully squeeze it out. Eat. Now we disconnect the wires from it. Carefully bend the plastic latches on the sides and remove the corrector unit itself Daewoo headlights Chevrolet. Then we lightly pry the roller with a screwdriver and remove the board. Remove the silicone cap. And solder the light bulb with a blowtorch. Be careful not to damage the board. In case of failure, I advise you to look for a new spare part on the Zaz Shop website.

Now solder the new light bulb into place. We collect everything in reverse order and install the part in place. In principle, the repair is quite simple. Thank you all for your attention, good luck.
